"Amazing for visually impaired!"

- How Will Infant Visual Stimulation Flashcards App Help My Child?

A newborn’s vision is not fully developed at birth and he sees the world mainly in shades of gray, black and white. Newborns have a visual preference for images with a high contrast in colors. Within a week from birth, a baby is able to see red, orange, yellow and green too, but keeps preferring looking at simple, high contrast pictures.

You can encourage your baby’s visual development by making sure that there are enough high contrast images in your baby’s environment. As the months go by, your baby’s vision will continue to develop, and soon he will be able to see the full range of colors and more detail. You can continue using this baby flashcard app as your baby grows into a toddler because babies love to play repetitive games with their caregivers.

This visual stimulation baby flashcard app can also be used for children with visual impairment to help them differentiate between foreground and background in images.

- How To Use Infant Visual Stimulation Flashcards App

Infant Visual Stimulation provides 254 high contrast pattern images. Simply flip through the pictures, while talking to your baby or let your baby listen to the recorded music or music of your own choice.

This app comes with three lesson packs: Basic, Intermediate & Shapes!

You can experiment with the flashing speed of the cards. Watch your baby to see how long he is able to look at one specific picture and adjust the flash speed settings accordingly. Some babies like to look at the pictures a little longer than others, but in general babies have short attention spans and the flashing speed should not be too slow.

There are 13 music tracks. Parents can select the tracks they like or choose to play it randomly. Now, visual and aural stimulation can be more fun and engaging for babies.

This educational app is easy and fun to use. It will provide hours of stimulation and entertainment for your baby.

Pros and cons of Infant Visual Stimulation app for iPhone and iPad

Infant Visual Stimulation app good for

My son finds it interesting to check out the shapes; the colours are bold and the displays interesting. I wonder at the length of these words, but I guess hes just grooving on the shapes.
My 10 month old daughter loves the bold pictures and music. We have used this app for our daughter since she was 3 months old. If we are in a store and she is fussing, I bring the app up and it calms her right down. It also helps develop babies eyesight. We would recommend it to any parent.
All I know is my 3 month old daughter has been loving this app for weeks. She can stare at it for a couple of minutes. Nothing I can do can captivate her like this app. PLEASE MAKE MORE !
We have been using this app with our infant daughter since she was a couple weeks old. She is captivated by the pictures, and I love how I can change the music. We tried a few similar apps but this one is our favourite, and we still use it weeks later.
My baby(nearly 5 months old) loves this app. He even stop crying when we start the flashcards. It has ver my beautiful piano songs. Would be awesome if there would be more shape cards. 5stars!
My son likes the app and black and white illustrations although some of the illustrations in this app specifically are so so, do not catch his attention and are difficult for me to say anything interesting about them to my son.

Some bad moments

My baby boy loves this app. Whenever we show it to him hes instantly enraptured; totally worth the $2.99.
My daughter loves this app. It is so soothing, when she is a little fussy I just turn this on and she stares at the shapes and images. The music is terrific I sometimes catch myself dozing off while listening to it. Everyone with a baby should download.
My son loves this app- it keeps him quiet in the car- he loves to look at the pics flash over and over. I started using this app with him when he was around 1 month old. Then he would gaze at it for short periods of time but didnt really seem to love it. As he got older he has liked it more and more. Now he is 9 months old and he loves it. When he is cranky in the car I bust out the iPad, put this app on screen and voila...silence. I dont know if my son loves the music- but I do- its the best.
We just took a trip from Oregon to Arizona and this saved us from going crazy from our baby crying. He loves to stare at it. Updates would be nice to get new pics.
My infant has loved this app since he was a month old. Hes now 4mos. Great calm classical background music. Images designed to capture a babies eye. It holds his attention long enough to give me a few minutes of a break. We dont use the tv in our home when baby is awake and we only use a couple apps...mostly when desperate but this is by far our favorite.
Hi, my name is Mia Strayer. I am a visually impaired musician. And can already play one of the songs on my harp. This song I can play is Prelude in C. In your next update can you change the music from piano tarp? I love how this app is voiceover accessible.
